Being Kind
We had a picnic at the park today. It was cold and everything was wet, but still nice to get out as a family. We had the park all to ourselves. Well, the playground and picnic area at least. As we were finishing up there was a family on the walking trail. The dad and two sons had on large packs and the mom was walking along side them. They looked pretty funny and out of place hiking in the middle of a city park. CJ asked who they were and what they were doing. Tay and I kept making snide suggestions like, "they're a family going for a nature walk," and "I think they're looking for some place to live." That's when the mom yelled over to me, "Julia?" Woops. They were out practicing for a 20 mile hike the scout troop is going on next weekend. How nice. You're out trying to "be prepared" and your own scout master makes fun of you!
